Temp-to-hire is an employment arrangement where a candidate is hired first temporarily through Wollborg Michelson with the potential of converting to a full-time employee with the host company.
What is direct hire?
Direct hire is recruiting for a full-time or long-term position where the employee will be directly employed by a client, instead of temporarily through our agency.

What is employment verification?
Employment verification is when an employer (Wollborg Michelson in this case) validates an employee's employment history. This requires the employee to sign a waiver giving WM permission to contact and verify former employers.
Will there be a background check/drug screening?
Drug screens, background checks, and/or other pre-employment requirements may differ between roles and clients. Your recruiter will inform you of those requirements when we contact you to discuss any job opportunities. Wollborg Michelson adheres to all state and federal laws when it comes to these types of screenings and will not run either without a candidate’s written consent.
How long would a normal temporary job last?
The length of a temporary job is determined by business needs and individual performance.
How do I get paid?
Once your timesheet has been submitted and approved you will be paid from Wollborg Michelson. Wages are issued through live check or direct deposit to the designated financial institution.
Will working with a temp agency get me a permanent job?
Working with Wollborg Michelson provides opportunities for short-term, long-term, and permanent jobs. The variables that influence the type of employment may include the business needs of our clients, and the employee’s performance, attendance, etc.
Does WM hire International Job Seekers?
Currently, Wollborg Michelson does not hire internationally.
Does WM offer remote work throughout the US?
Currently, Wollborg Michelson does not hire employees in all 50 states. If we have a remote position available, our candidates must reside/be able to work from a pre-approved state. Our recruiters can confirm if we can employ you in your state.

How do I get paid? (From whom and what system)
Employees will be paid directly from Wollborg Michelson once all worked hours within a workweek have been properly recorded, approved, and have been processed. The designated time-keeping system is influenced by the client an employee is working with. Wollborg Michelson will set clear expectations during onboarding when to submit timecards.
When do I enter my timecard?
Timecards should be submitted on the last day of an employee’s work week, no later than Sunday.
Where can I view my timecard?
Submitted timecards can be viewed through a designated time-keeping system with our respective client and Wollborg Michelson’s partner site, Paylocity.
How do I seek a pay increase?
When attempting to seek a pay increase connect with your respective retention specialist. Your retention specialist will guide you in creating and submitting a request for an increase for the client to approve or decline.
Whom do I communicate with?
My supervisor onsite or Wollborg Michelson? Once an employee begins their new role, it is expected that they connect with both their onsite supervisor and Wollborg Michelson’s retention specialist for any updates or support.
What happens if I am released early from a position?
If released early from assignment an employee can expect to be notified by their respective retention specialist of the next steps. This includes off-boarding, exit interviews, equipment returns, and final check expectancy. If eligible for rehire, an employee will be directed to connect with the recruiting team.
Who is technically my employer?
My host company or Wollborg Michelson? Wollborg Michelson is the employer of record.
To whom do I report absences or technical difficulties?
When experiencing technical difficulties or needing to be absent always inform Wollborg Michelson first and right away. Then follow proper call-out procedures with the host company. To ensure the entire team is informed.
May I switch assignments while currently on another assignment?
Work assignments may not be switched in the middle of a term. Best practices are to complete an assignment to build a stronger resume and network. Once the assignment is complete, our recruiting team can aid in updating your resume and getting you ready for other opportunities.

Employees will submit their timesheets on a shared timekeeping system that both, you, the client, and Wollborg Michelson has access to. Once the hours have been approved and processed, Wollborg Michelson will disperse the wages to employees.

Wollborg Michelson is unique as we have a dedicated retention team for each client we partner with. The retention team will assist with providing updates, coaching, and support for both the client and employee as they are on assignment.
Who releases employees from their assignments?
In the event an employee needs to be released from their assignment Wollborg Michelson will take the lead in delivering the information and completing effective offboarding.
What happens if we are not pleased with an employee’s performance?
If a client partner is displeased with an employee's performance, they may request coaching and supervision. If performance does not improve the client reserves the right to release the employee ahead of the contract end date.
